Food at Muskoka Woods

We are proud to provide meals that meet the group’s dietary requirements and that students like. Meals are served in one of our two dining rooms, buffet style, so guests can ensure they get enough to eat.

What do meals look like?

Guests eat together on trays with their school/group at tables inside one of our two dining halls. We have a wide selection of breakfast items, such as oatmeal, a yogurt bar, toast and cereal. For lunch, we provide a main meal, a salad bar, fruit and more. And for dinner, we present a variety of entrees (two protein selections with every meal), lots of veggies, sides, a variety of fruit and desserts. We also have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available — and all meals are presented in a buffet-style to our guests. Please see our sample menu below.

Food Allergies, Special Diets & Picky Eaters

Safely navigating meal options when your child has food allergies can be a challenge, especially when it comes to making independent choices while they are away from home. We can accommodate many allergies and special diets to make their camp experience a positive one. We offer gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan meal options if you indicate the need for such a diet on your medical form. If selecting one of these special diets, your child will select their meals from our Special Diets Buffet. Please note: at this time, we do not offer Halal or pork-free options. If this is a requirement for one of our guests, we recommend that they select the vegetarian special diet option or choose the other protein option from the buffet if pork is being served. Our kitchen staff will be available at each meal for any questions. Please be advised that despite our best efforts to reduce the risk, cross-contamination may occur in our kitchen during preparation, on the main buffet, or on the special diets buffet by guests accidentally moving serving utensils or signs.
