Frequently Asked Questions:

Where will my students be staying?

Students stay in climate-controlled cabins (with heating/AC, HEPA filters, and many with private washrooms). Cabins house 10–14 guests.

What meals are provided?
Our dining hall serves buffet-style meals with options for dietary needs (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and plated meals for most allergies).
What safety measures are in place?

All activities meet or exceed safety standards, are inspected daily, and are led by certified staff. Teachers accompany students at all activities and meals.

What should students pack?
A packing list is provided. In winter months, warm gear (hat, mitts, snow pants) is essential. Don’t forget bedding (sleeping bag or sheets/blanket/pillow) and toiletries.
How many activities will students do?

Each group experiences an average of 10 activities during their stay, chosen to suit the season and curriculum goals.

What happens if my child has a medical issue?
Teachers are trained in handling medical situations. Muskoka Woods staff are trained in first aid, and Parry Sound hospital is just 30 minutes away.

Muskoka Woods partners with teachers to create a safe and memorable experience for every student. If you have questions or need additional resources, please connect with our Schools & Retreats team at schoolsandretreats@muskokawoods.com.
