Welcome to Muskoka Woods, where we provide an unforgettable experience surrounded by the inspiring beauty of the Muskokas. Here, students grow in confidence, discover leadership qualities, and build lifelong friendships, all in a secure and supportive environment. Students stay in comfortable climate-controlled cabins with heating, air conditioning, HEPA air filtration, and many with private washrooms with showers. Each cabin accommodates 10 to 14 guests, creating a cozy communal atmosphere. Cabins are accessible and are outfitted with super comfortable mattresses that can easily accommodate bedding or a sleeping bag. Our dining hall serves over 2 million meals a year. With a balanced buffet-style menu, we cater to many dietary needs, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and plated meals for most allergies when needed, ensuring every student finds something they enjoy. With up to 35 activities, from high ropes to cross-country skiing, students challenge themselves, work as a team, and make unforgettable memories. Our programs are designed to complement the school curriculum, making learning fun and engaging. Your students will engage in an average of 10 fun activities during their school trip to Muskoka Woods. At Muskoka Woods, safety comes first. Our staff undergo rigorous training, and all activities meet or exceed safety standards.

For example, our ropes course is inspected daily, and instructors are certified challenge course practitioners. Plus, teachers accompany students at all activities and meals, providing an extra layer of supervision. Your teachers are well-trained in how to handle medical emergencies, and the Parry Sound Hospital is just 30 minutes away. Packing appropriately is the first step to ensuring an enjoyable time. The Muskoka region is colder than Southern Ontario, and we get a lot more snow. If your trip is between November and March, you definitely want to pack a hat, mitts, and snow pants aren’t a bad idea either. Cabins are heated in the winter and air-conditioned in the summer, so bringing appropriate bedding is important — like a sleeping bag or sheets, blankets, and a pillow. And don’t forget your toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and a towel for the shower. Our detailed packing list helps you prepare for every season to ensure your child’s safety and comfort. Our dedicated team works alongside teachers to provide constant supervision and support. Muskoka Woods staff guide every group, ensuring a safe and unforgettable experience for every student. Send your school to Muskoka Woods for an enriching and memorable overnight trip — one that creates a lifetime of memories.
